Titicaca Lake Bolivia

Day 1: La Paz, Huatajata, Moon & Sun Islands
Overland journey from La Paz to Huatajata, at the shores of Lake Titicaca. Upon arrival we will board the Hydrofoil to visit the Moon Island and the Sun Virgins Temple “Iñak Uyu”. We continue to Sun Island and explore the Pilcocaina Sun Temple. Finishing the cruise, we enjoy a “llama” trek to the hotel. After lunch you will have time at leisure to explore the amazing surroundings. Dinner and overnight at the cozy Posada del Inca Eco Lodge. (lunch, dinner)

Day 2: Sun Island, Copacabana, Huatajata
After some free time in the morning we walk down by the Inca “Grand Stairs” and taste the water of the Sacred Fountain, believed to give eternal youth and happiness. Lunch at the Uma Kollu archaeological Restaurant and time to stroll along the small handicraft market. Hydrofoil cruise to Copacabana to visit the shrine and the Indian Dark Virgin. Our journey continues by land to Huatajata. Experience an audiovisual and night visit of The Mystic World of the Kallawayas, natural healers of Bolivia. They believe that you first have to heal the soul in order to heal your body. Tata Benjo, -our Kallawaya- will bless visitors and answer questions by casting his sacred coca leaves. By night, visit of the Native Observatory Alajpacha to learn more about the Aymaras Cosmovision and watch the southern constellations. Overnight at the cultural Inca Utama Hotel & SPA (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Day 3: Huatajata, La Paz
After breakfast, we will visit the Andean Roots Eco Village and its Altiplano Museum, Handicrafts village, the Mud Igloos and the mortuary towers of the Urus Chipayas. We also have the possibility to meet the Limachi family, builders of the RA II and Tigris for epic expeditions across the Atlantic Ocean. Afterwards a land transfer takes us back to La Paz.
