When to go?


The best time to visit Chile depends basically on your chosen destinations and activities, since Chile’s has a variety of climates. Summer (November – March) is probably the best time, although the Central Valley & Santiago, Atacama Desert and Easter Island, are all-year round destinations. The months between July and September are ideal for Skiing and Snowboarding in the Andes Mountain Range.

Argentina

When to go?


Due to its temperate climate, Argentina experiences four distinct seasons. Buenos Aires and the north of Argentina have a pleasant climate all-year-round. The best time to visit Patagonia and the Lake District is between November and March (summer), meanwhile autumn is the ideal season to visit Mendoza and Cordoba. The months between July and September are ideal for Skiing and Snowboarding in the Andes Mountain Range.

Perú

When to go?


The best and driest months in Peru´s Highlands (including Machu Picchu) and Amazon basin are June, July and August. It is the best season for hiking and river journeys. The capital Lima, the coastal areas and the Nasca Lines can be visited all-year-round (Nasca Line flights are subject to favorable weather conditions). Please keep in mind that the Inca Trail is closed for maintenance in February.

Bolivia

When to go?


The Bolivian winter months from May to October are the best time to visit the country; meanwhile summer (November to April) is the rainy season with high temperatures and humidity. The rainy season in the Uyuni Salt Flat lasts generally from January to April.

Visa Requirements?


Visas are not required by Australian, British, Canadian and most EU nationals when travelling to Bolivia for touristic purposes. US citizens require a visa, which has to be obtained in advance.
